GreenWorks prepared a comprehensive Master Plan for this year round facility which provides rich camping experiences to children with disabilities. The Master Plan addresses access and circulation, housing administration and recreation facilities. Key design criteria included principals of Universal Design, minimizing impact to existing natural resources, identifying opportunities for ecological restoration in this Douglas Fir forest, and compatibility with the Barlow Trail Historic District. GreenWorks also worked with US Forest Service personnel to achieve needed environmental permits. GreenWorks led a team of professionals in this effort including: Waterleaf Architects, Cogan Owens Cogan and Century West Engineers.
