The Historic Day Use Area at Silver Falls is the most popular portion of this 8,700 acre crown jewel of the Oregon State Park System. With four historic buildings, including the largest CCC construction building within Oregon State Parks, the development of the site over time was reexamined in the improvement plans for the area. With visitation increasing dramatically, the day use area was redesigned to protect important natural and cultural resources while providing the type of recreation experience enjoyed by generations of Oregonians. GreenWorks prepared a design program, site master plan, vegetation management plan using extensive GIS mapping, historic report and design development drawings for $2.8 million dollars in site improvements. We also prepared construction documents and computer visual imaging and provided construction administration services.
