Dungeness Recreation Area Master Plan – Port Angeles, Washington

Dungeness Recreation Area Master Plan

Dungeness Recreation Area is a 230-acre county owned park located South of the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge in Washington. The site has stunning views to the Olympic mountain range and across the Strait of Juan de Fuca up to the Dungeness Spit.

Clallam County engaged GreenWorks to prepare a long-range Master Plan for the Dungeness Recreation Area. The Master Plan document includes Inventory and Research, Site Analysis, Programming, Conceptual Plans, and Final Master Plan documents. The Master Plan meets community needs and protects sensitive natural resources. The plan expands overnight and day use facilities, includes a new visitor contact station, expands camping facilities, enhances the picnic area overlooking the bluff, and extends the trails network.
