SilverFalls_northgateway_masterplanSilver Falls State Park North EntranceThe unique beauty of Silver Falls State Park attracts thousands of visitors a year to enjoy the lush forests and world-class waterfalls within its boundaries. Located outside of Silverton, Oregon, the park provides visitors with passive and active recreation opportunities within its existing boundaries. GreenWorks developed a master plan for the northern gateway for the park for the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. The new facilities alleviate overcrowding in the existing park by providing expanded overnight and day use facilities including camping, an expanded trails network, mountain bike activity zone, new maintenance area, a modern park headquarters, a new park welcome center, a day use area, and an arrival gateway along highway 214. The new northern gateway protects the cultural and natural resources of the park while continuing to provide public access and recreation opportunities.
