Clackamas Highway Realignment

Clackamas Highway Realignment –
GreenWorks provided re-vegetation design services for approximately 1.3 miles of road realignment necessitated by severe landslides during the winter of 1996. The Highway is within the Clackamas River Wild and Scenic River Corridor on the Mt. Hood National Forest, with high scenic sensitivity. The design solution called for the exclusive use of genetically appropriate native species. GreenWorks provided grading criteria to protect existing old-growth Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar trees, as well as to maximize the success of re-vegetation efforts. We were also responsible for developing a propagation plan to ensure that the native plants needed were available at time of planting. Documents were prepared using Micro Station Software and were in metric units.
