Dave Walters, Emeritus ASLA
David H. Walters is a Senior Associate who puts his more than 40 years of experience to work by providing mentorship to our junior staff, as well as quality control for the firm’s projects. Over Dave’s tenure, he has worked with architects, planners, arborists, artists, scientists, engineers, economists, publishers, and other landscape architects on diverse projects locally and beyond. Projects of note include: PDX Airport Way, Oregon Zoo, Nike World Campus, City of Tualatin Parks, THPRD Nature Park, and Reed’s Crossing.
Dave is currently a Licensed Landscape Architect Emeritus of Oregon and spent 20 years on the Design Review Board of Clackamas County. He spent more than 20 years as an executive board member of the Oregon Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects as Treasurer, Vice President, President, and Trustee. He’s also served on ALSA’s National Professional Practice Committee, Audit Committee, Committee on Education, Finance and Investment Committee, and on the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB).
Dave loves working at GreenWorks because he enjoys collaborating with our diverse team of budding landscape architects who are eager to learn and advance the profession. He enjoys passing along what he has learned over the years and taking part in the dynamic and cutting-edge work the firm is both seeking and engaged in.
On days away from the office, Dave loves working around his home, helping keep up the grounds at his church, planning adventures around the world, and staying active by golfing, hiking, biking, running. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and their four grandsons.
