Jeannine Davis

Jeannine Davis is a Landscape Designer with a passion for creative, compelling, and ecologically responsible design. Her work ranges from coast to coast at all scales, from private spaces to public plazas, parks, institutions, campus master planning, urban renewal projects, and more. She advocates for inviting, thoughtfully designed spaces that focus on natural systems, and the communities they serve. A well-designed space can honor nature and provide a sense of belonging to gather, connect, celebrate culture, and define the identity of a city.

Jeannine worked on the capital campaign for restoration and improvements in Central Park in New York City as well as the New York City Public School play space initiative, and the LEED Certified Bronx Zoo Headquarters in Queens, NY. She also participated in public art installations within Central Park and instructed landscape design classes and workshops with Central Park Scholars for inner city middle school children.

Jeannine also has a passion for permaculture and sustainable food production. She co-founded, designed and operated a family-run farm in Alabama for seven years. While farming, she collaborated with Jones Valley Teaching Farm in Birmingham, Alabama, serving as a design jury member for urban farm lab projects. She also taught local workshops and led educational events.

Jeannine loves GreenWorks’ holistic approach to design. Each project is an opportunity to have a positive impact on both our natural systems and our communities.

When Jeannine is not learning new design programs or hand sketching perspectives and plans, she can be found growing and responsibly foraging medicinal plants and food, connecting with farmers and herbalists, hiking, camping, roller skating, practicing yoga, and seeking out all of the best food, coffee, and music in Portland.
