Works / Habitat Crystal Springs Creek- Eastmoreland Golf Course Fishway /

eastmoreland2eastmorelandGreenWorks provided design services to the Portland Parks Bureau for this golf course fairway improvement project. The landscape concept for the project included adding fill to two of the course’s fairways to eliminate seasonal flooding, provide fish passage for steelhead and coho salmon from Crystal Springs Creek to headwater ponds and springs located in the golf course, and to enhance fish habitat along Crystal Springs Creek. We worked with Inter-Fluve to develop specific design criteria to meet biological habitat objectives, and met with environmental and neighborhood activists to present concepts for public input before preparing the final construction documents. We also secured regulatory permits for this project.
