10065_Preferred_Alternative.inddGreenWorks led the development of alternative approaches to solving bank erosion issues at an urban wetland site owned by Clackamas County.  The site, a portion of which is a mitigation wetland, has been heavily impacted by increased urban stormwater runoff.  The project team was asked to evaluate urban stormwater runoff volumes, existing channel erosion, and existing vegetation and hydrology and develop a variety of design alternatives to solve the existing erosion issue.  Design concepts developed include establishment of downstream grade control using natural wood materials, reconstruction and stabilization of banks, and expansion of the wetland area through grading and revegetation.
