GreenWorks led a multi-disciplinary team for the City of Salem in master planning the remaining 22 acres of a 44-acre site near the Salem State Hospital. Half of the park is developed and has two baseball fields, two soccer fields, and Salem’s only bike park. The park includes a man-made riparian slough that treats stormwater both on and off site. The Master Plan Update process involved evaluating compatible recreational uses and engaging with the public. The preferred plan consists of flexible open space, extensive walking paths, new ball fields, a destination skatepark, an inclusive playground, a splash pad, picnic shelters, expanded bike and vehicular parking.

GreenWorks recently completed the Phase 1 design for the skate park and its supportive amenities with Evergreen Skateparks.
