Scoggins Valley Park
GreenWorks led a multi-disciplinary team on a multi-objective project to establish new public recreational facilities within two Washington County parks, including a seasonal campground with supporting amenities at Henry Hagg Lake in Scoggins Valley Park and a new public access point to the Tualatin River at Eagle Landing Park. Each site requires careful coordination of recreational programming, site constraints, and long-term operations considerations. Scoggins Valley Park Campground is designed as a modern campground catering to campers that prefer more amenities like utility hookups, showers, children play spaces, and plenty of space to park campers watercraft. The project includes a structured public engagement and planning process shaped by the requirements of the Metro Local Share Grant, ensuring that proposed improvements align with community priorities while remaining eligible, feasible, and implementable. Through this work, GreenWorks demonstrates experience delivering successful, grant-funded park improvements by aligning public engagement, planning, and funding criteria to produce realistic and fundable outcomes.
