Gateway Green
Planning and organizing for Gateway Green began in the early aughts through the work of community groups like Friends of Gateway Green and continued with Portland Parks & Recreation, Metro, and Northwest Trail Alliance.
We talked with a few of the people instrumental to its creation and even convinced a GreenWorks landscape architect to show off his mountain biking skills
Others involved in the project include: Portland Bureau of Transportation, Oregon Department of Transportation, East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District, Oregon Solutions, Oregon Parks And Recreation Department, TriMet, Travel Oregon, Central Northeast Neighbors, Community Cycling Center, Eastminster Presbyterian Church, International Mountain Bicycling Association, Mt. Hood Community College, The Bike Gallery, King Cycling Group, and The Lumberyard.
