Lower Klamath River Recreation Sites

GreenWorks is leading the design for four recreation sites in conjunction with the removal of four hydroelectric dams on the Lower Klamath River, formerly operated by PacifiCorp. GreenWorks led on-site meetings for a large group of Tribes and other stakeholders, including the Shasta Indian Nation, the Klamath Tribe, federal and state agencies, and recreational interest groups, to review plans for providing recreational access to the river. The GreenWorks team has advanced design to 100% construction documents for the four recreation sites now freed from inundation. The sites feature several amenities, including picnic and restroom facilities, boat ramps, trails, parking, and interpretive exhibits. Construction began in 2024.
