Lower Snake River Dams Recreation Benefits Study

GreenWorks was part of a multidisciplinary consultant team that conducted a recreation benefits study for the Lower Snake River. The study’s objectives were to summarize the existing outdoor recreation facilities and visitation, conduct a demand assessment of outdoor recreation on a free-flowing river, and identify future facilities and investments needed to offset the loss of recreation opportunities associated with the potential drawdown of reservoirs on the Lower Snake River. This work supported the implementation efforts outlined in the U.S. Government’s commitments to the Columbia River Basin Restoration Initiative.
