2025 Fall PWA Career Day

GreenWorks recently partnered with the Portland Workforce Alliance to host a Career Day, welcoming 15 students from five Portland-area high schools to our office for an immersive look into the world of landscape architecture.

Throughout the day, students explored the many career paths within the profession, met members of the GreenWorks team, and participated in a hands-on design activity centered on reimagining the Portland waterfront. The event offered students a chance to see how design can shape communities and connect people with the environment.

Many participants shared that the experience broadened their understanding of design and sparked new interest in creating sustainable, inclusive public spaces.

We’re grateful to the Portland Workforce Alliance for making this meaningful connection possible—and to the students for bringing such enthusiasm and creativity to the experience. The future of landscape architecture is in good hands!
